Thomas Marchese Poker Player of the Year

The poker player is known as “Kingsofcards” in the online poker world and he lives in New Jersey. His great performance in 2010 confirmed him as one of the up-and-comers in the world of Poker Texas Hold’em. He defeated Dwyte Pilgrim, Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi, Venssa Selbst and John Racener in the race to be the best player of the year.

Marchese’s greatest victory this year was at the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Venetian Main Event where he won $827,648 after defeating a field of 872 poker players. He acknowledged the importance of good results in this poker event, specially the fact of finishing in the top 20 with players like Blair Hinkle and Andrew Chen.

Besides winning at the NAPT Venetian Main Event he ended in fourth place in the No Limit Hold’em High Roller Event at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo and he took home a prize of $350,125. Marchese also had a good day at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 Pot Limit Hold’em World Championship finishing in sixth place and winning $123,264.

In September 2010 he scored another big win at the EPT London Main Event with a seventh place and won $156,490. He also won the prize for the third place at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Foxwoods World Poker Finals with $211,759.
