The Racing Post is to be the exclusive sponsor of the Poker Channel’s new tournament – The World Speed Poker Open.

The Trinity Mirror-owned paper and its sister website will cover the championship on the Poker Channel, found at Sky 265, for the next four weeks.

The alliance comes during a run of activity in the Racing Post for the sudden craze for all things poker.

The paper and its quarterly magazine RPGaming and included more coverage of the casino and poker worlds, culminating in this week's sponsorship deal.
