The Mirage Poker Showdown approaches this weekend in Las Vegas, as players begin hitting the scene for what is May 2005's biggest poker event. The show gets underway on Monday with the $1000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em at noon.
This year's event will include a PPT taping along with the usual $10,000 World Poker Tour Championship Main Event on May 23.
Last year's Mirage Poker Showdown ran during the last weekend in July with the $10,000 Championship being won by Eli Elezra. With the changing of the WSOP schedule in 2005, the MPC was able to expand and move to its current home in May.
