“Deal” is the name of a new poker movie starred by Burt Reynolds and Brett Harrison. The final segment of the movie was filmed this week in New Orleans. Several professional players and the stars of the WPT television program were invited to participate in this segment.

In the movie, Burt Reynolds is Tommy Vincent, a former poker champion. He meets Bret Harrison’s character, an online poker player, and decides to tutor him. The relationship between the characters goes from friendship to competitivity. Finally, Vincent returns to the world of poker to defeat his student at the WPT Championship.

"I was fascinated by how these guys study their opponents, figuring out their tells, and using psychology to outsmart them”, said Reynolds about the professional who took part in the final scenes. "I realized how to improve my own game.”

Deal is the first production to be filmed in New Orleans since hurricane Katrina.
